The Buffalo Sabres and Edmonton Oilers will meet again in a pivotal game in the Western Conference playoff race Wednesday night.
The Oilers will look to avenge their fourth consecutive loss to the Sabres in a shootout on Saturday and are hoping to add a game or two to their record with a 3-2 victory in Game 7.
The Sabres are coming off their third straight loss and are now 3-0-1 in the first round of the playoffs, with the only losses coming in their past three meetings.
The Buffalo Sabres (16-11-5, 58 points) are coming out of a stretch where they’ve gone 0-4-1 and will look for a seventh straight win, their longest skid since a 0-7-1 stretch from 2003-05.
The teams split their first two meetings, with Edmonton winning in regulation in Game 4 and Buffalo winning in overtime in Game 6.
The two teams will meet at 7 p.m.
ET at Rexall Place in Edmonton.
